Writers Inc

There’s something not only perfect, but also – we think – unique, about the Writers Inc formula. A comfortable, catered, country house weekend, combined with workshop sessions and ‘on tap’ advice for budding writers, from two published authors who happen to live here.

Jane and Brian’s own writing careers are extensive and diverse and they have a clear and committed approach to sharing their knowledge.

Plus, they both love a gathering, which is why, at Writers Inc, good food, drink and conversation bring people together, in a joint endeavour to become better writers.

About your hosts

Author Jane Sanderson from Writers Inc, a writers' retreat in Herefordshire

Jane Sanderson

Jane started her career in print journalism before becoming a producer for BBC Radio 4, working on The World at One, PM and Woman’s Hour. She has written six novels, starting with the Netherwood trilogy, which was inspired by her own family’s coal-mining roots in South Yorkshire. The subsequent three books are all contemporary novels; This Much Is True, Mix Tape and Waiting for Sunshine. The highly-acclaimed Mix Tape has been translated into seven languages and was recently adapted for television into a brilliantly successful four-part drama on BBC2 and iPlayer. Waiting For Sunshine, her most recent novel, was described by the Daily Mail as ‘superbly written and compellingly original’.
